Graduated from the National Film & Television in the UK, Directing Documentary MA. 

Yael is an award-winning filmmaker whose work explores intimate character studies and the boundaries between reality and fiction. ‘Under Her Wing’, her latest project, has been nominated for the Israeli Academy Awards 2022. Her documentary 'Death and the Maiden' about the artist Charlotte Salomon screened in DOC NYC, Dok-Fest Munich, and aired on RBB in Germany.

Her Drama-Doc 'Miu' about a young man who disappeared in East London, was shortlisted for the Grierson Awards. Currently, Yael is developing her first feature ‘Anonymous Soldiers’ supported by RFA and NFCT development grants.
